Safe products and safe use
Product specifications, intended market, electrical compatibility and any relevant warranty or conformity information should be confirmed for your order. Keep manufacturer instructions and follow the safety guidance supplied with each product.
Tell us about a safety concern
If you believe a product supplied by us is unsafe, stop using or selling the affected item as appropriate and email sales@spawholesale.co.uk. Include the product name, model, batch or serial number, invoice reference and a description of the concern. Do not continue using damaged electrical equipment or swollen, leaking or overheating batteries. For an immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service.
Electrical equipment and batteries
Electrical waste and batteries should be handled through suitable collection and recycling routes, rather than placed in general waste. A crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol indicates separate collection. Recycling can recover materials and reduce risks to people and the environment.
Appropriate arrangements depend on the product, whether it is household or business equipment and the parties’ roles in the supply chain. Please contact us before ordering for the take-back or end-of-life arrangements applicable to your supply. Any legal take-back or producer responsibilities that apply are not excluded by our trade terms.
Before returning waste or a faulty product
Contact us for the appropriate process. Do not post electrical waste, damaged lithium batteries or other hazardous goods to our registered office. Follow any specialist packaging, carrier and safety instructions. A trade return and a waste collection may need different handling.
Business buyers should also consider the obligations applying to their own onward sale, importing, branding, waste handling and packaging. General UK guidance is available on GOV.UK. This page does not claim membership of a compliance scheme or a particular collection service.
